Today (May 15th), Jay Z and Beyonce releases their first public statement since the footage of Solange’s fight with Jay Z at a Met Gala afterparty surfaced. In the statement sent to The Associated Press , the couple addresses the speculation over the cause of the fight, but maintains that “our family has worked through it.” While not stating what the cause was, the statement does address Jay Z and Solange taking culpability for the incident:  Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public.
