According to WFTV-9 in Lake County, Florida, a 77-year old female pastor has been arrested for allegedly trafficking oxycodone at a small church in the city of Umatilla called the Church of Jesus. Apparently, the arrest of Pastor Gussie Smith is part of a larger drug operation sweep that is still ongoing. Members of the church are in disbelief.

More than two weeks ago 15-year-old Gabbiee Swainson was kidnapped from her mother’s home. 52-year-old Freddie Grant has been charged with kidnapping Gabbiee but Richland County Deputies still haven’t been able to find her. Grant was an obvious target because he was a convicted felon and deputies became even more suspicious when he refused to cooperate, Lott said. Bullets were found in his home, leading to a federal weapons charge. That led to more searches, which uncovered his DNA and Gabbiee’s DNA on duct tape with blood on it found near his house, the sheriff said. Cell phone records show Grant was near Swainson’s home around the time she disappeared and both of them appeared to end up at Grant’s home, the sheriff said. Grant is being held without bail at the Lexington County jail. It wasn’t clear if he had a lawyer. It’s a mix of Mountain Dew soda and Tropicana orange juice — to its breakfast menu, which was rolled out earlier this year at select locations. Taco Bell is also adding its new A.M. Crunchwrap, which combines scrambled eggs, cheese, a hash brown and bacon or sausage in a single tortilla. The Mexican-style chain introduced breakfast — which it refers to as “FirstMeal” — at about 800 restaurants in 14 states earlier this year. The chain plans to take the menu national by 2014 if the test goes well. Although Taco Bell is looking to expand by offering higher-end options such as its new Cantina Bowls, the chain is also finding success by appealing to younger men who crave junk food. Taco Bell restaurants that have been open at least a year experienced double-digit growth during the second quarter.

A community is outraged after cops stopped and harassed a group of black deaf teenagers. The group was heading to a local community basketball game when they were stopped by several New Jersey police officers. The brother of one of victims, who was the only non-hearing impaired tried to tell the officers that the boys were deaf. However, he said the officers insisted on continuing their search, leaving the group of young men shaking in fear. The parents of the victims are demanding an apology from Trenton Police Department. Graduates from the St. Martinville, La., Senior High School Class of 1973 decided that after nearly 40 years, they would stop holding segregated class reunions, but a letter announcing the change included an after party for “white graduates only.” Michael Kreamer, who is the principal of the Louisiana school, said the letter was brought to his attention on Friday morning. “It’s disappointing to see something like this,” he said. “The school was really not involved at all in it.” On Sept. 21, a reception will be held at the school, followed by the homecoming football game , which the letter notes all graduates are welcome to attend.
