Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg has made it clear that he doesn't want to be known as Marky Mark, doesn't want to revisit his past as a rapper, and wishes to move on as Mark Wahlberg, the actor. However, Wahlberg should NEVER forget his roots as a rapper from the Dorchester section of Boston, Massachusetts. In 1991, Mark was the leader of 'Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch', a Hip-Hop group complete with a deejay and backup dancers. Marie "Free" Wright formerly of B.E.T's "106 and Park" video show was also a part of the group. The group's first single, "Good Vibrations" went gold then platinum, and the second single, "Wild Side" went gold, kicking off a head start for the platinum album, "Music for the People".
