Ballentine, whose show is was carried on various Radio One stations around the country, was indicted by a federal grand jury on charges he duped lenders by using false information to secure loans on more than two dozen homes. When Rodrigo Diaz set out to pick up his friends and go ice skating, he was in high spirits. But when his GPS navigation system took him and some friends to the wrong house, he was assumed to be an intruder—and shot dead. Friends of Diaz claim that the then 69-year-old Phillip Sailors, seen below, saw the car arrive at his house in Lilburn, Georgia, through a window. Moments later, Sailors appeared in his driveway, firing a gun into the air. As Diaz attempted to drive away, Sailors fired a shot which fatally wounded him. Since, Sailors has been charged with murder with malice. His lawyer, Michael Puglise, explains: “He is very distraught over the loss of life from the defense of his home. According to witnesses, Coulter was concerned the experienced, decorated pilot may have gained her position as a result of affirmative action and wasn’t fully qualified to fly. The incident began when Coulter boarded the American Airlines flight and took up her first class seat. After a trip to the bathroom, she noticed the pilot was a black woman and became immediately distraught. Believe it or not the “Pink Lips” trend is booming in Nigeria! For a mere $30, men have been heading–in flocks– to tattoo shops to have their bottom lips made pink or red. Federal prosecutors in Sacramento are once again taking on what they describe as a particularly flagrant hate crime. An indictment returned Jan. 16 by a grand jury and unsealed last week accuses three Yuba County men of an unprovoked attack on a couple because the man is white and the woman is black. The indictment charges Perry Sylvester Jackson, 27, Billy James Hammett, 28, and Anthony Merrell Tyler, 32, all of Olivehurst, with one count of conspiracy and two counts of beating the couple in 2011. The charges are grounded in the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act, a 2009 amendment to a statute that criminalizes violence motivated by race, color, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender or gender identity. An Ohio woman who was seeking an order of protection against her ex-boyfriend was brutally assaulted by the man inside a Domestic Relations courtroom last week, an attack that was recorded by a surveillance camera. As seen in the above video, the attack by Rashad Greene, 30, occurred after he was briefly left alone in the courtroom with Dominique Morrow, 28, and Greene’s grandmother. Greene and Morrow were in the Summit County courtroom for a hearing in connection with Morrow’s application this month for a restraining order again Greene, whom she has accused of making threats and abusing her. After Magistrate Tracy Stoner briefly departed the small courtroom, Greene appears to begin yelling and gesticulating at Morrow, who sits placidly at a conference table. A Houston mother has been charged with murder for the shooting death of her 19-year-old son, according to Harris County Sheriff’s deputies. Nesha Kraidieh and her son, Phillip Vanshawn Apostolo, argued twice at their home Monday deputies said. During the first argument, Kraidieh said her son pushed her. The two began to argue again later and Kradieh allegedly shot her son in the head while he was sitting on the couch. Those who knew Apostolo described the young man as “troubled.” They say the mother and son had a “rocky relationship” and police were frequently called to the house. “Oh his mom, they argued because she didn’t like him doing certain things, certain people at his house,” said neighbor Flemmon Hightower. “And he disobeyed her, so there was conflict between them.” Neighbors also said Kraidieh’s estranged husband, a Houston police officer, moved out of the home several months ago because he also had issues with Apostolo. Two Georgia men were thrown behind bars after stealing $65,000 worth of damn CHICKEN WINGS! SMDH! were arrested last week and accused of stealing frozen chicken wings — worth $65,000 — from a local cold storage business where they worked in Doraville. 35 year old Dewayne Patterson (left) & 26 year old Renaldo Jackson, were employees at Nordic Cold Storage in Doraville, GA. The 2 men allegedly backed up an Enterprise rental truck to a bay door at the business, and loaded up the truck with 10 pallets of Tyson frozen chicken wings, according to the police report. Jackson used a forklift to load the wings while Patterson served as the lookout man. The men were arrested and charged with one count of felony theft by taking. They were released on $2,950 bond. A ten-month-old girl was accidentally run over and killed by her father on Thursday night, it was revealed today.   Around 5.15pm, police received a call saying the baby had crawled out to the driveway of the Slidell, Louisiana, home and was tragically killed. Deputies say the father was doing work on his car in front of the home, when the family pets got loose. As the pets were being gathered, the infant crawled out of the house. When the father returned to his car, he pulled back into the driveway and ran over his baby daughter. The Sheriff says this is just a case of a terrible accident. ‘The fact that these horrible accidents do occur, it makes us all reflect and realize that life truly is precious and we better pay attention to the things that are important to us,’ said St Tammany Parish Sheriff Jack Strain. A Chicago man became the last of his siblings to die from gun violence early Saturday (Jan. 26) morning. Ronnie Chambers was shot on the city’s West Side, and had two brothers and a sister all meet a similar fate. According to family friend, Lavern Smith, Chambers’ death is a devastating blow to his mother. “He was the last one,” Smith told the Chicago Tribune. “I know she’s hurting.” At around 2 a.m. Smith heard shots, and ran outside to find Chambers wounded. He died in her arms. “All his sibling passed a long time ago. It was a hysterical thing.” The 33-year-old was sitting in the driver’s seat of a van when one or two people opened fire, according to police. His body was identified by family members at the scene. “He was my everything,” Smith said. “I lost a part of me.” Police said that another man in the van jumped to the back when the shooting started, saving his own life. Fort Lauderdale Police said William Roberts, Ross’s real name, was a passenger in a Rolls Royce that crashed into an apartment building off busy Los Olas Avenue around 5 a.m. after “dozens” of shots were reportedly fired at the car. No one was injured. NBC6 reports the shots came from another vehicle, but no arrests have been made. According to WSVN, witnesses said Ross had been celebrating his birthday at the nearby Floridian restaurant earlier in the evening. The restaurant was also struck in the hail of gunfire. Rosa Parks, the civil rights leader, will become the first African-American woman to have her likeness depicted in the Capitol’s Statuary Hall when a statue of her is installed later this year, Senator Charles E. Schumer, Democrat of New York, said in an interview Thursday. Statuary Hall is ordinarily reserved for full-size statues from the states; each state sends two statues of its choosing to be put on display.
