Prosecutors say a D.C. police officer involved in a paternity dispute with his mistress shot the woman dead and left their infant child to die in a hot car. Prince George’s County, Md., State’s Attorney Angela Alsobrooks said during opening statements Monday that Richmond Phillips, seen below, killed the two because he didn’t want to pay child support. Phillips is being tried on two counts of first-degree murder along with child abuse and firearms charges. Phillips was arrested in June 2011 after the body of 20-year-old Wynetta Wright was found in a park where the two had met.   Their child, Jaylin, who was days shy of her first birthday, was found dead in her car seat with the doors closed and windows rolled up. Detroit police found the body of a 93-year-old man stuffed inside a freezer in his son’s basement — after investigators said the son stole the body and casket from a Detroit cemetery on Monday. WTH! The body was in a new freezer in the basement, according to a police source. The man’s 48-year-old son reportedly told family members on Monday that he stole his father’s body from Gethsemane Cemetery on the city’s east side that morning to resurrect him through prayer. Family members said tensions were high and declined further comment. The man’s funeral was Saturday, but his body was being held in the cemetery’s mausoleum because the ground was too wet for burial. Witnesses saw a white van pull up outside the mausoleum just before the man and his casket went missing Monday morning. Officers found the empty casket about 7 a.m. Tuesday in a van parked at a gas station, and arrested a 48-year-old man and a 38-year-old man in the vehicle. Police didn’t identify the arrested

Oxygen Media pulled the plug on “All My Babies’ Mamas,” a reality special the network was developing about a rapper who has fathered 11 children with 10 different mothers. The network offered no reason for curtailing the project. In a statement issued Tuesday, Oxygen said that, “as part of our development process, we have reviewed casting and decided not to move forward with the special.” The one-hour program would have featured Atlanta rap artist Shawty Lo, his children and their mothers. It was expected to air later this year on Oxygen, an NBCUniversal cable network owned by Comcast. “All My Babies’ Mamas” got a hostile public reception after Oxygen announced it last month. At least one petition, started by Sabrina Lamb on change.org called for Oxygen to shut it down. The petition has collected more than 37,500 signatures. The Parents Television Council called the program’s concept “grotesquely irresponsible and exploitive” and pledged to contact advertisers

On Tuesday, the Utah Supreme Court put a temporary hold on a trial court judge’s order giving a married father custody of his daughter, who was placed for adoption at birth without the father’s consent or knowledge. Terry Achane, an Army drill sergeant stationed at Fort Jackson in South Carolina, was waiting in Dallas to board a plane bound for Utah, when he got the news. A hearing set for Wednesday in Provo’s 4th District Court, during which Achane expected to get custody of Teleah, his 2-year-old daughter, was canceled. “He is very disappointed,” said Mark Wiser, one of Achane’s attorneys. It was unclear Tuesday evening whether Achane would continue on to Utah or return to South Carolina until the court makes a final ruling. “Right now there are no guarantees he can see his daughter,” Wiser said, adding that the adoptive parents are now under no obligation to accommodate visits. A Bronx man tumbled to his death while defecating between subway cars on a moving 6 train in Manhattan Tuesday, cops said. The northbound local had just left the E. 125th St. station on the Lexington Ave. line around 4:12 p.m. when the 31-year-old man fell and was crushed, said NYPD spokesman Paul Browne. Within seconds of the incident, witnesses spotted a bloodied and battered 50-year-old man climbing out of the 4/5 express track bed across the platform, cops said.   The man, who reeked of booze and is believed to be homeless, had a broken pelvis, a deep gash on his butt and huge cuts on his legs, cops said. It was not immediately clear if he had been struck by a train. The bizarre incidents were unrelated. SOURCE: NYD

50 year old Donna Marie Lange (NOT below), is accused of smothering her boyfriend to death with her breasts after witnesses told police they saw the couple drinking and arguing in their Everett, Wash., motor home. Deputies arrived at the Airport Inn trailer park at around 12:45 a.m. Saturday, where a 51-year-old man required CPR. The unidentified victim was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Lange was also taken to the hospital for a facial injury. Witnesses claimed the couple had been fighting, and at one point Lange allegedly tossed her boyfriend — described as 5 foot 7 and 175 pounds — in the back of their motor home. The man could reportedly be heard telling the heftier Lange — described as 5 foot 6 and 192 pounds — to get off of him. Lange was later found on top of him with her chest pressed atop his face. She appeared passed out, according to the witnesses, who admitted to deputies that they had also been drinking and smoking marijuana that day. They said

A group of 10 major lenders has agreed to pay federal regulators $8.4 billion to settle claims of foreclosure “robo-signings” and other abuses, the New York Times reports. Among the lenders onboard are JPMorgan Chase, Citibank, and Bank of America. About $3.3 billion of that will go to help Americans who were foreclosed on between 2009 and 2010, who could see payouts of between $1,000 and $125,000. The other $5.2 billion will go modify loans and reduce principal balances for troubled homeowners . It was the second biggest settlement of the day for Bank of America, which separately agreed to a $10 billion package to settle its various disputes with Fannie Mae over mortgages—most from BofA’s Countrywide unit—that went sour after the housing agency bought them. BofA will pay Fannie Mae a $3.6 billion penalty, and another $6.75 billion to buy back some of those mortgages at a discount. The body of a missing 14-year-old school girl, who was the niece of an NYPD sergeant, has been found naked and burnt in a nature reserve. Shaniesha Forbes, of East Flatbush, New York City, was last seen on Friday. On Sunday, a passerby discovered her naked, burned and partially buried body in the sand in Gravesend, four miles from her home. Shaniesha had run away from home at least once before her disappearance, according to sources. The body of the Academy for Young Writers freshman was found near the remnants of a bonfire and some beer, police sources told The New York Post. Her legs, arms and hands were burned, but investigators said they do not believe the fire killed her because there was no smoke in her lungs. The girl’s friends said she had recently suffered at the hands of school bullies. “Almost every day in science class, they would ask her the same questions . . . like why she would wear the same weave over and over again,” her friend Tanasha S

A Kentucky woman is facing a felony rap after allegedly trying to smuggle two hypodermic needles hidden in her vagina into a Louisville jail, according to corrections officers. 29 year old Jessica Webster, seen below, was arrested last night for her alleged role–along with her husband–in the burglary of a Louisville home. When collared, Webster was found in possession of jewelry taken from the residence. A post-arrest search also turned up a syringe containing heroin in her hooded sweatshirt. Webster was then transported to the county jail, where she was asked if she was in possession of any contraband. She answered no. However, during a subsequent “pat search,” a jailer detected an object “in subj vaginal area,” according to a Louisville Metro Department of Corrections report. Webster was then subjected to a strip search, which yielded two hypodermic needles. “Subj removed the needles from her vagina and I confiscated them,” reported an investigator, who added tha
