Charred human remains have been found in the burned cabin where police believe fugitive ex-cop Christopher Dorner was holed up after trading gunfire with law enforcement, authorities said. If the body is identified to be Dorner’s, the standoff would end a weeklong manhunt for the ex-LAPD officer and Navy Reserve lieutenant who is believed to be responsible for a string of revenge-fueled shootings following his firing by the Los Angeles Police Department several years ago. A 19-year-old man has been charged in connection with a viral video that showed a Newark teenager being forced to strip naked and whipped mercilessly with a belt over a $20 debt. The alleged assailant was already in custody at the Essex County jail and identified as part of the investigation into the video, which garnered national attention and drew more than 40,000 views on YouTube. He was charged with robbery, conspiracy and aggravated assault. The alleged cameraman and a third person who was present for the attack were also arrested, and the girlfriend of one of the suspects was arrested on an unrelated drug charge, according to the source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the case. (BlackMediaScoop) Two men have been charged with murder in the shooting death of 15-year-old Hadiya Pendleton a week after she performed at President Obama’s inauguration. Michael Ward (left), 18, and Kenneth Williams (right), 20, both of Chicago, were charged with one count each of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder and aggravated battery with a firearm in the Jan. 29 attack that also wounded two other teens. Chicago police Supt. Garry McCarthy said Ward (left pic) confessed to being the shooter, telling police that Pendleton was not his intended target. The intended recipient for Ward’s bullet, McCarthy told reporters, were members of a rival gang. Skipping out on a $2.25 subway fare cost this guy 10 years of his life. A Manhattan PATH rider was sentenced Monday to seven years in prison — and another 3 1/2 years’ parole — after cops stopped him for fare-beating and discovered an illegal handgun. Ruben Sanabria, 37, was caught with a loaded .40-caliber Smith & Wesson at the 14th Street station March 30. Two cops grabbed him after they saw him hop the turnstile, and quickly found the weapon in his waistband. Sanabria was also carrying extra bullets and a holster. He pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, which has a maximum sentence up to 15 years. Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance Jr. said Sanabria got what he deserved. “This defendant illegally carried a loaded semiautomatic firearm into a public transportation system used by thousands of people every day,” Vance said. “Preventing gun violence is one of my top priorities as district attorney, and I will make sure that this...

A mother whose two-year-old daughter was allegedly killed by her ex-boyfriend has been left with yet more anguish – after she learned the child’s body had been left rotting in a funeral home basement. The body of Ranasia Knight was just one of four found badly decomposed at the Gundel Funeral Home in Lancaster, Pennsylvania after the funeral director had promised to cremate their bodies. The young girl died in an emergency room on January 12 and at first her heart-broken mother, Jessica Bachman, thought the girl had fallen down some stairs. But two days later, Bachman’s former boyfriend, Lester Johnson, seen below, admitted to punching and kicking the young girl, leaving her blind in one eye and fatally injured. He was arrested. Police knocked on her door on February 1 to tell her that her daughter’s badly decomposed body had been found on a table in the basement of a nearby funeral home. Tampa police arrested a mother for leaving her four children home alone on Sunday! Police said Lara Jones, 24, left the children aged 2, 3, 5 and 6 at home while she went shopping at Walmart. A neighbor called police. When officers arrived around 10:56 p.m., they found the children asleep inside the home. Jones returned home around 11:20 p.m.      According to Tampa Police, Jones told officers she didn’t take her children because she didn’t want to wake them. She is charged with child neglect. The Police Chief accused of signing off on false community service hours for Chris Brown has resigned. TMZ reports that Bryan Norwood, Chief of the Richmond, Virginia Police Department, has removed himself from his post after the Los Angeles County District Attorney claimed in a report that Norwood was  involved in certifying Brown's community service hours in relation to the singer's Rihanna assault case . The report provides that the hours were never performed, that Norwood personally oversaw recording the hours, and that he  vouched for Brown.
