Two uniformed NYPD officers were shot dead Saturday afternoon as they sat in their marked police car on a Brooklyn street corner — in what investigators believe was a crazed gunman’s assassination-style mission to avenge Eric Garner and Michael Brown . “It’s an execution,” one law-enforcement source said of the 3 p.m. shooting. Ismaaiyl Brinsley ( Photo: Facebook) The tragic heroes were working overtime as part of an anti-terrorism drill in Bedford-Stuyvesant when they were shot point-blank in the head by the lone gunman, identified by sources as Ismaaiyl Brinsley, 28, who had addresses in Georgia and Brooklyn. Moments after killing the two officers, he too was dead, having turned the gun on himself on a nearby subway platform as cops closed in. “I’m Putting Wings on Pigs Today,” a person believed to be the gunman wrote on Instagram in a message posted just three hours before the officers were shot. “They Take 1 Of Ours…Let’s Take 2 of Theirs,” the pos

Judy Huth  alleged in 1974 when she was only 15 years old, Cosby forced her into performing a sex act on him while the two were in a bedroom at the Playboy Mansion. This latest development comes almost 2 weeks after Huth met with detectives at the Los Angeles Police Department to discuss her alleged encounter with Cosby. The Associated Press   is reporting the prosecutors office were unable to file charges against the comic due to the statute of limitations expiring. In order for D.A. to take legal action against Cosby, under the law Huth’s complaint must be filed within the same year. Before Huth talked to police about her claims against Cosby, she filed a civil lawsuit accusing him of molestation. Cosby has maintained Huth tried to put the squeeze on him for $250,000 be

Bosnian Immigrant Made Up Story About Being Attacked by Black Teens

Image
A St. Louis woman told police that she was attacked by a group of black teens who dragged her from her car, then left her unconscious. The woman admitted to police on Monday, however, that she made up the story. Seherzada Dzanic’s allegation that she was attacked came only days after a Bosnian man was beaten to death in a nearby neighborhood, causing the Bosnian community in St. Louis to fear that they were being singled out. Zemir Begic was driving in the Bevo Mill area when he was fatally beaten by a group of teens with hammers. Like Begic, Dzanic had claimed that she too was driving in Bevo Mill when three black teens ordered her out of her car at gunpoint. She originally alleged that the three teens destroyed her cell phone and threatened to kill her because she was Bosnian. But instead of killing her, Dzanic said her assailants threw her to the ground, where she was later found unconscious. Dzanic’s story sparked an FBI hate crimes investigation and inflamed

Beanie Sigel Still Condition Still Critical After Shooting, Unable to Talk With Police

Beanie Sigel remains sedated and unable to talk with investigators after being shot outside his Jersey Shore home two days ago. The Philadelphia rapper, whose real name is Dwight Grant, is in critical condition following surgery at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Friday, Pleasantville Police tell NBC10 on Sunday. Sigel was rushed into surgery after being shot in the stomach as he returned to his Pleasantville home along the 800 block of Spruce Avenue. He had just dropped his kids off at school when the gunfire erupted. The 40-year-old's attorney said it appeared that Sigel was not the intended target in the shooting. Police believe the shooting took place after an argument outside the home. Pleasantville Police said officers executed a search warrant at the home on Saturday. They did not elaborate as to what they were looking for or what may have been found. Detectives have been questioning several people in th

Bill Cosby Breaks Silence: “I Expect The Black Media To Stay Neutral”

Image
Dec 14, 2014 / By Jillian Bowe     Bill Cosby is finally breaking his silence with the media as the the growing number of sexual assault allegations surrounding him continues. While Cosby doesn’t address the allegations directly he uses the opportunity to reprimand the black media on the coverage of the scandal. In an brief interview with the New York Post ,  Cosby tells reporter Stacy Brown , who also writes for the black media outlets in a phone conversation at his Massachusetts home, Let me say this. I only expect the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism and when you do that you have to go in with a neutral mind. The man once dubbed as, “America’s Dad”, told the writer he has been advised by the crisis management company  Hiltzik Strategies and attorneys Martin Singer and John B. Schmitt not to speak out in the press about the allegations where more than 20 women claimed he drugged and ra

F*ck Tha Police: 20 Songs Against Police Brutality

Image
This is the sound of musicians speaking out against police racism, violence and oppression.    Police brutality isn’t new. Neither is its documentation . What is new -- thanks to the ubiquity of cell phones and other recording devices -- is recognition beyond the black community of its frequency, viciousness and, with few exceptions, the impunity with which the majority of abusive officers are treated. Twenty-odd years after the Rodney King verdict and the Los Angeles riots, the Eric Garner decision is yet more proof that police brutality is as much a part of our system of policing and criminal justice as it ever was. Musicians have long attempted to speak to police violence through song. In response to Ferguson, artists including G-Unit , Public Enemy , The Game , T.I. and J. Cole (whose “ Be Free ” may have been the most gut-wrenching of all) recorded tracks to address police brutality and the harrowing loss of black life. These
