Alicia Etheredge Brown, R&B singer Bobby Brown’s wife, is recovering after suffering a seizure in Florida. Peeps close to the family say Bobby Brown’s early exit from rehab may be to blame for his wife’s hospital visit.

Alicia had a seizure just hours before Bobby was due to perform with New Edition at Tom Joyner’s Annual Family Reunion event.

Bobby requested fans pray for his wife and mother of his son, Cassius.
“The report that my wife was rushed to the hospital is true. She is recovering and is in good spirits and doing well,” Bobby said Saturday. “Please keep my family in your prayers.”
 
Alicia is also Bobby Bobby’s manager and had been traveling with him for the annual labor-day weekend event. She reportedly collapsed while he was completing a sound-check for the upcoming show with New Edition.
This seizure comes just days after Bobby checked himself out of rehab early, we’re told family members, including his wife wanted him to complete rehab before going back on tour with New Edition.

The couple tied the know in Hawaii in June.

Run-D.M.C. Producer Larry Smith Dead at 63

Larry Smith, producer of some of the most cherished hip-hop records of the Eighties, including Run-D.M.C. 's first two albums, died Thursday at the age of 63. Radio host Combat Jack broke the news on Twitter , writing: "Just spoke to his family. RIP Larry Smith, the original King of Beats who passed away last night." A Queens native, Smith began his career as a session musician and quickly struck up a partnership with Kurtis Blow after playing bass on "Christmas Rappin'."  Smith would continue to play on a number of Blow's tracks, co-writing a few as well, including the MC's breakthrough record, "The Breaks,"  which became the first rap record to be certified gold. Smith then began working with Blow's manager at the time, Russell Simmons. The two co-produced a handful of tracks for Jimmy Spicer – including the oft-sampled "Money (Dollar Bill Y'All)"  – before helping make hip-hop history with Run-D.M.C.'s
