Boston Rapper Carmen Cobain Dead of Heroin Overdose
Carmen Cobain |
One of the rappers who worked with Carmen Cobain, Louis Armstrong, was obviously grieved of hearing today's news of his friend's death:
Armstrong's sentiments are heartfelt and shared by many rappers from the Boston rap scene, including Roxbury's own Bay Holla, who posted on her Facebook page:
"Just heard about my fellow MC Carmen Cobain. May she rest in peace. I worked with her on her first project. My heart goes out to #LouArmstrong. My heart is with the HM squad. Dam my heart hurts. NEW ENGLAND STAND UP."

It broke my heart to read what you people printed about my daughter without taking a moment to gather the FACTS. This is total and complete slander and I will pursue legal action against you. Does anyone bother to take the time to do any research these days before they print the garbage they hear from others? Do you want to know the true story about Carmen? She was a brilliant, beautiful, smart young lady who loved her family and many of you without question. To think that you would print rumors and not even try to get to the bottom of what happened is a real travesty. Carmen didn't have self-esteem issues. She was a gentle spirit with a heart of gold. She had a few problems, but who doesn't? She did have a problem with drugs but was not using drugs at the time of her death and was getting her life back on track. She died of a brain aneurism. That fact comes from the County Medical Examiner. Before you print garbage about people and sling them through the mud, take a moment to make sure you're doing the right thing.
