THE UNITED STATES AND THE STATE OF NEW YORK DECLARES WAR ON YOUNG AMERICA

The recent decision of a grand jury not to indict Darren Wilson for the murder of 18-year-old Michael Brown caused civil unrest in Ferguson and lit a fuse in the hearts of young Americans of all races and backgrounds everywhere. New York City added fuel to the smoldering fire when today a grand jury decided against indicting officer Daniel Pantaleo for his role in the murder of Eric Garner. The Universal Zulu Nation views this type of behavior by the police unconstitutional, inhumane, dehumanizing and down right criminal. We have warned the youth for over 41 years that their lives are in jeopardy when dealing with the unjust laws and systems set up and designed to destroy the youth. The latest 100 or so days is proof that there is a war on our youth and culture. Not only in this nation of ours, but worldwide. Our President has only spoken briefly about the subject, and has carefully chosen his words so not to cause issue with the men and women in law enforcement who have run a muck with violence and continue to cause bloodshed.

At this time, it is clear and evident that law enforcement in this country have a personal vendetta against the youth, and with young Black males in particular. In 2013, Cassandra Feuerstein was thrown into a jail cell against a brick bench, shattering her face. The officer who manhandled this woman is still on duty in Skokie, Illinois and reportedly has no contact with the public. Yet, his actions were not deemed criminal in nature. The pattern of abuse by police across this nation is disparaging, and for years it’s been widely known that most of police officers who harm undeserving and unarmed citizens without cause, are also physically abusive in their homes. We all know the spouses of police are 2 to 4 times more likely to be abused, leaving these animals to patrol our streets with built-up frustrations. Let’s call attention to the demon within our police departments nationwide and get to the truth about why so many officers are narcissistic power freaks.

New York’s Mayor Mayor Bill de Blasio said of the grand jury’s decision: "It's a very painful day for so many New Yorkers.” His comment is a day late and a dollar short. We are not buying into the false empathy on behalf of the Mayor, who happens to be the boss of the police. The Mayor should be very well versed on what his Police department’s policies and procedures are. He should have already known that the chokehold used to murder Eric Garner has been banned in New York since 1993. In fact, then Police Commissioner Raymond Kelley said of the murderous move by police: "choke holds, which are potentially lethal and unnecessary, will not be routinely used."

Either Daniel Pantaleo is unaware of the policies in place, or the Mayor is very aware that his officers are allowed to enact their own policies at any given moment and in any given circumstance. The overall message says loud and clear to our youth: “You’re next.” The Mayor oversees a deadly police force with policies that strike fear and distrust in the hearts of its citizens. On behalf of the youth all over New York state, we are warning you that there will be relentless civil unrest. We demand a change in the policies of the New York Police Department statewide. We refuse to idly stand by as you rear the ugly head of hatred and murder upon the youth of our communities. Every elected official, including the Mayor, District Attorney Dan Donovan and the grand jury who were a part of the conspiracy to clear Pantaleo has blood on their hands. Yes, Mayor de Blasio, it’s a very painful day for so many New Yorkers. Even more painful to know that you have sold your soul.
