A former football player beat his four-month-old son to the brink of blindness and death, police said. 25-year-old Jaheel Robinson allegedly continually punched baby Cameron Kyle during the savage attack last week. The baby suffered multiple injuries and has been hospitalized since Thursday on a ventilator and feeding tube. His brain and eyes are hemorrhaging and he will likely go blind. ‘He is very neurologically compromised,’ Assistant Norfolk District Attorney Lisa Beatty said. ‘His retinas have been separated from his eyes. ‘The baby will probably be blind.’ ‘It is unclear at this point whether he will be able to survive,’ Beatty said. It’s the second time Cameron has been at Boston Children’s Hospital, having previously been admitted suffering sickness. According to a report on TMZ.com, the Los Angeles police have launched an investigation into Cee Lo for sexual battery. The investigation, which is in its early stages, began after the woman filed a police report with the Los Angeles Police Department. Cee Lo has denied any wrongdoing in the matter. “Nothing ever happened there or anywhere else,” said Cee Lo, who is currently hosting the second season of the hit TV show “The Voice.” The news also comes Cee Lo’s new Christmas album Cee Lo’s Magic Moment lands in stores. The investigation is ongoing.

A teenage father has been charged with attempted murder after pouring liquor into his two-month-old son’s hospital feeding tube. 19 year old Cesar Ruiz, allegedly pumped Lucas with rum during his stay at Ochsner Hospital in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, which he was admitted to with breathing difficulties on October 16. The child was undergoing treatment ahead of surgery scheduled for Wednesday when on Sunday he began having seizures. He was moved to the pediatric intensive care unit where doctors found him to have a blood alcohol level of .289, more than twice the 0.8% legal limit for driving in Louisiana. Ruiz confessed to the crime, explaining that he acted to relieve his son’s suffering and did not intend to kill him, police said. He told officers he had taken a feeding tube from the hospital when he left to go home and shower and filled it up with rum before returning. A Chicago man who bound his 22-month-old daughter with tape and posted a photo on Facebook was acquitted Tuesday of unlawful restraint and will find out the verdict on a second charge (aggravated battery), next week. Cook County Circuit Judge Lawrence Flood acquitted the 22-year-old father of one charge after a bench trial. Flood later said he wanted more time to study domestic battery laws before issuing a verdict on that charge on Nov. 8. Andre Curry, who did not testify on his own behalf, has said he and his daughter were playing on Dec. 13 and that he took the photo without thinking. Defense attorney Sam Adam Jr. argued the child was never in danger. Rescuers in Philadelphia pulled a man from the wreckage of a collapsed building on Monday – and then promptly arrested him for looting. The abandoned three-story building in the north of the city had been reduced to rubble after Superstorm Sandy battered the east coast of the United States. Firefighters working to make the building safe didn’t think anyone was inside, until they heard someone crawling out of the rubble. After helping him to safety, police officers arrested him for disorderly conduct on the suspicion that he had crawled in to the building, located on Cumberland Street, looking for things to loot. The exact cause of the building’s collapse is still unknown but Philadelphia has been buffeted by 50mph gusts as a result of the storm. It came as thousands of National Guard troops were mobilised to prevent looting sprees on homes and shops in New York and Long Island. A worker at the Eastside location of the San Jose Funeral Home in El Paso, Texas confirmed that Hemsley was still at the home, and that they were waiting for a court order telling them what to do with his body. It was revealed in August that Hemsley’s body had not been buried amid a legal dispute between his former manager and self-proclaimed business partner and live-in best friend Flora Enchinton – who was named as the sole beneficiary in his will – and a Philadelphia man, Richard Thornton, who claims to be the actor’s brother.
