Author Releases Debut Novel - "The Book of Lies, Mistrust, and Mistakes"

Nationwide (December 29, 2011) -- In The Book Of Lies, Mistrust, and Mistakes by Andrew J. Rainey, Jr, nothing is what it seems in the hood. Readers travel with the main character, Kim, as she tries to commit the ultimate betrayal, and discovers in the hood only the strong survive. This debut novel is filled with street life, envy, revenge, and greed. In the end, readers will ask themselves who can they trust, who made a mistake, and who told the lies.

Andrew J. Rainey Jr is a native of Kenbridge Virginia, and is relatively new to the writing scene. He began his writing in 2008, and is currently working on promoting his new book and doing book signings.

This book] is a short story that is full of drama. If you are looking for a book full of drama, this book is for you. The drama is jealousy friendship, lies, date rape, physical abuse and other abuse. This book also as a message to let others know that if this has happen to you, you are not to be blamed for someone else's actions. The story line is about a young man Deon who falls in love with Keisha. Things are going good for Deon and Keisha until a young woman name Kim comes into the picture. Kim decides that she wants Deon and will do anything to get him. Author Andrew Rainey's debut book is fill with envy, revenge and greed. I look forward to more from this author. Run-D.M.C. Producer Larry Smith Dead at 63

Larry Smith, producer of some of the most cherished hip-hop records of the Eighties, including Run-D.M.C. 's first two albums, died Thursday at the age of 63. Radio host Combat Jack broke the news on Twitter , writing: "Just spoke to his family. RIP Larry Smith, the original King of Beats who passed away last night." A Queens native, Smith began his career as a session musician and quickly struck up a partnership with Kurtis Blow after playing bass on "Christmas Rappin'."  Smith would continue to play on a number of Blow's tracks, co-writing a few as well, including the MC's breakthrough record, "The Breaks,"  which became the first rap record to be certified gold. Smith then began working with Blow's manager at the time, Russell Simmons.
