Mary J. Blige Marriage: Singer Opens Up About Her Marriage To Kendu Isaacs (VIDEO)

The multiple Grammy winner addressed recent rumors that she had gotten into a fight with her husband in a nightclub, and that their eight-year marriage was in trouble.

"My marriage is not on the rocks," she told host Wendy Williams, a longtime friend of the singer. "But I would be a liar and my fans would hate me if I said to them, oh we're perfect and everything is great."

Blige added: "We have situations just like everyone else; it's real. But we love each other, that's it."

It's not the first time Blige's reported marital drama has been in the spotlight. In December 2009, the singer allegedly punched Isaacs in the face at her record release party in New York, though her rep vehemently denied the claims.

In 2011, rumors emerged that the singer had filed for divorce. The couple met in 2000 and tied the knot in a small ceremony at their New Jersey home in December 2003.

Run-D.M.C. Producer Larry Smith Dead at 63

Larry Smith, producer of some of the most cherished hip-hop records of the Eighties, including Run-D.M.C. 's first two albums, died Thursday at the age of 63. Radio host Combat Jack broke the news on Twitter , writing: "Just spoke to his family. RIP Larry Smith, the original King of Beats who passed away last night." A Queens native, Smith began his career as a session musician and quickly struck up a partnership with Kurtis Blow after playing bass on "Christmas Rappin'."  Smith would continue to play on a number of Blow's tracks, co-writing a few as well, including the MC's breakthrough record, "The Breaks,"  which became the first rap record to be certified gold. Smith then began working with Blow's manager at the time, Russell Simmons. The two co-produced a handful of tracks for Jimmy Spicer – including the oft-sampled "Money (Dollar Bill Y'All)"  – before helping make hip-hop history with Run-D.M.C.'s
