FAKE BUTT INJECTIONS NETS SISTAH AT LEAST $1 MILLION + 3 years in Prison

The Atlanta, Georgia woman who plead guilty to administering silicone injections to a large female clientele banked $1.3 million from her illegal nationwide practice, according to a “conservative” estimate prepared by federal prosecutors in advance of her sentencing on a felony conspiracy charge.

Investigators claim 46 year old Kimberly Smedley, showed a reckless disregard for the safety of women seeking enhanced hips and butts by injecting a staggering amount of non-medical grade silicone between 2003 and 2011 (when she was arrested by federal agents).
Smedley injected her clients–usually in HOTEL rooms where she kept the silicone in a water jug for the procedures – and used ‘super glue with cotton balls to prevent silicone leaking out’ of the women’s flesh. She charged ‘$500 and $1,600, always in cash, for each session where she typically injected silicone in nine places on each side of the buttocks’, according to court papers.

As a result, these women “are prone to infection as a result of the toxic substance” injected by Smedley, noted prosecutors, who added that, “Even if there is not an adverse effect right away, medical problems will almost certainly arise at some point in the future.”

Smedley, who charged hundreds of clients between $500 and $1600 per injection, ordered nearly 5000 pounds of silicone from one manufacturer alone, an amount that prosecutors termed “staggering.” A forensic accountant’s review of Smedley’s bank accounts identified $1.315 million in gross receipts tied to her silicone operation, though the “actual number is likely appreciably higher,” according to the government filing.
47 year old Kimberly Smedley, of Atlanta was sentenced to 3 years in prison Thursday in federal court in Baltimore.
Smedley’s lucrative business was broken up by federal agents after a client of hers–a stripper from Baltimore–became seriously ill and had to be hospitalized when silicone injected in her hips and butt ended up in her lungs.

Run-D.M.C. Producer Larry Smith Dead at 63

Larry Smith, producer of some of the most cherished hip-hop records of the Eighties, including Run-D.M.C. 's first two albums, died Thursday at the age of 63. Radio host Combat Jack broke the news on Twitter , writing: "Just spoke to his family. RIP Larry Smith, the original King of Beats who passed away last night." A Queens native, Smith began his career as a session musician and quickly struck up a partnership with Kurtis Blow after playing bass on "Christmas Rappin'."  Smith would continue to play on a number of Blow's tracks, co-writing a few as well, including the MC's breakthrough record, "The Breaks,"  which became the first rap record to be certified gold. Smith then began working with Blow's manager at the time, Russell Simmons.
