Detroit Lions linebacker Justin Durant used
Twitter to weigh in on the ongoing Chick-Fil-A gay marriage saga
Wednesday, and went a step farther than many others.
His social media exchange went all the way to slavery, with Durant responding to a question about whether he would boycott the restaurant if they came out in support of slavery. The answer? The chicken’s “too tasty.”
Durant initially Tweeted a question about “what happened” with Chick-Fil-A, a popular fast food chain whose president drew ire around the country by coming out against gay marriage.
When people started filling Durant in on the scandal, he Tweeted he was “shaking his head” over the controversy. “Chick-Fil-A not even open on Sunday how people shocked that the owner feels that way?” Durant Tweeted. He added: “So people not gon get the best chicken sammich and lemonade on the planet because of a personal belief? Word?”
Later in the exchange, someone asked if he would boycott the chicken if the owner came out and said “slavery was a good idea.”
Durant responded: “Chicken too tasty.”

LMMFAO! He's a funny! I agree with him on the part of people being shocked like that didn't already know that the owner was a conservative Christian. But oh well. I may not agree with Dan Cathy's views but he has every right to have them. As long as he's not discriminating against the LGBT community, let him believe what he wants to believe.
