CRAZY CHIC SETS BOYFRIEND’S BED ON FIRE WHILE HE’S SLEEPING WITH NEW GIRLFRIEND

There’s nothing worse than seeing an ex literally sleeping in bed with their new boo. OK, there’s one thing worse: Reacting by literally setting that bed on fire while your ex and their new boo are still sleeping.

That’s exactly what police in Islamorada say 29-year-old Nicole Dobol did. Dobol, who was arrested on Wednesday, allegedly told her boyfriend’s roommate she set the fire because seeing him in bed with another woman “made her crazy.”
The trouble started last month, on Nov. 11, when Dobol went to the Hog Heaven Bar and Grill in Islamorada, where her ex-boyfriend worked. He wasn’t at the restaurant that night, but his roommate was.

The roommate told Dobol that her ex had headed home, but begged her not to go there herself, says Becky Herrin, a spokeswoman for the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Dobol ignored that warning, and forced her way into the ex’s nearby apartment. Inside, she found her former lover asleep in bed with another woman. That’s when Dobol went bananas, police say, lighting the mattress on fire while the two still slept. When they awoke to flames, she “stood there” and taunted them, Herrin says.
The two managed to escape uninjured, dragging the burning mattress onto a balcony and putting out the fire.
Dobol escaped the apartment, but was finally arrested on Wednesday. She faces felony counts of arson and burglary.

Run-D.M.C. Producer Larry Smith Dead at 63

Larry Smith, producer of some of the most cherished hip-hop records of the Eighties, including Run-D.M.C. 's first two albums, died Thursday at the age of 63. Radio host Combat Jack broke the news on Twitter , writing: "Just spoke to his family. RIP Larry Smith, the original King of Beats who passed away last night." A Queens native, Smith began his career as a session musician and quickly struck up a partnership with Kurtis Blow after playing bass on "Christmas Rappin'."  Smith would continue to play on a number of Blow's tracks, co-writing a few as well, including the MC's breakthrough record, "The Breaks,"  which became the first rap record to be certified gold. Smith then began working with Blow's manager at the time, Russell Simmons. The two co-produced a handful of tracks for Jimmy Spicer – including the oft-sampled "Money (Dollar Bill Y'All)"  – before helping make hip-hop history with Run-D.M.C.'s
