MOTHER OF ANDRE 3000 FOUND DEAD IN HER HOME

The mother of Andre 3000, Sharon Benjamin Hodo, was found dead in her Atlanta home.

Sadly, this all happened on Andre 3000′s 38th birthday. Andre 3000, who was born Andre Lauren Benjamin was raised by his single mother, who sold real estate around the Atlanta area.


According to reports, police and ambulances have been up and down the street of the home where Sharon Benjamin Hodo (mother of Andre 3000) lives at. As details remain unknown, it has been reported confirmed from a close family member that Sharon has passed away.

Reports state that she was in her early 60’s and lived in Rex, Georgia. Stay tuned as we’ll update the story when more information is known.

No word yet on cause of death, but other Atlanta rappers have begun tweeting their support.

Bless the soul of Ms. Hodo and God ease the pain of the family of Andre Benjamin.

    I feel sorry for him and his family. Your lose is our lose. May she rest in peace. I hate to see this happen when he just celebrated his birthday. Didn't he just do a song with Beyonce. Bad things happen to good people.

    I WONDER IF IT WAS THAT SACRIFICE ILLUMINATI SHIT, ITS TOO OBVIOUS TO ME HOW ALL THESE FAMOUS PEOPLE FAMILIES BE DYING AND SHIT. NOTHING IS NEVER A COINCIDENCE. I TRULY BELIEVE IT WAS A BLOOD SACRIFICE TO STAY RICH. JUST MY OPINION!!!!!

Run-D.M.C. Producer Larry Smith Dead at 63

Larry Smith, producer of some of the most cherished hip-hop records of the Eighties, including Run-D.M.C. 's first two albums, died Thursday at the age of 63. Radio host Combat Jack broke the news on Twitter , writing: "Just spoke to his family. RIP Larry Smith, the original King of Beats who passed away last night." A Queens native, Smith began his career as a session musician and quickly struck up a partnership with Kurtis Blow after playing bass on "Christmas Rappin'."  Smith would continue to play on a number of Blow's tracks, co-writing a few as well, including the MC's breakthrough record, "The Breaks,"  which became the first rap record to be certified gold.
