Bill Cosby Breaks Silence: “I Expect The Black Media To Stay Neutral”
Let me say this. I only expect the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism and when you do that you have to go in with a neutral mind.
The man once dubbed as, “America’s Dad”, told the writer he has been advised by the crisis management company Hiltzik Strategies and attorneys Martin Singer and John B. Schmitt not to speak out in the press about the allegations where more than 20 women claimed he drugged and raped them. The latest with supermodel Beverly Johnson speaking out about her encounter with Cosby in 1986, where she alleged he drugged her after inviting her to his home on the pretense of being offered a guest starring role on The Cosby Show.
When asked about his wife of 50 years, Camille, Cosby did mention how steadfast she was in her support in him. Cosby remarked:
Love and the strength of womanhood,” he said. “Let me say it again, love and the strength of womanhood. And, you could reverse it, the strength of womanhood and love.Soon afterwards Cosby ended the phone call after relaying his team didn’t want him talking to the media about the ongoing investigation.
