Police: Suspicious elderly man grabs girl at bus stop

police carRANDOLPH, Mass. —Randolph police are warning residents to be on alert after a report that a suspicious man tried to grab an 11-year-old girl.
Police said the incident happened Thursday at about 3:10 p.m. in the area of Lantern Lane and South Street.
The girl told police that she noticed an "elderly" man on the corner when she got off the school bus. She said the man followed her, caught up to her and grabbed her arm and turned her towards him saying he wanted to talk to her.
The girl said she broke free, and the man ran away on South Street.  She was not hurt.
The man had white or grey hair, stood approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and had a small build, police said. He was wearing a navy baseball cap with the letters "B" and "R" on the front, a red Boston Red Sox hooded sweatshirt, denim style jeans and brown flip flops.
