There ARE no white 'Rap Gods'
Hiphop Culture will celebrate forty-four years this November when the Zulu Nation simultaneously celebrates its forty-third anniversary. Founded by the Zulu Nation with DJ Kool Herc heralded as the Godfather of the Culture, the four spiritual principals of Hiphop have become the pillars: Peace, Unity, Love and Having Fun. Too many followers of Hiphop confuse the Culture with rap, a physical element used to push forth the principles and ideals of the Culture. Time and time again, they get it dead wrong.
At present is the bug fuss about Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly's so-called 'beef' and Eminem calling himself "God of Rap." We all know he never was, currently isn't, and could never be the God of Rap. This is especially true due to the fact that the God's before him had already created Rap music long before he was born. To take it further, and to credit Muhammad Ali and Cab Calloway (and many more) Rap and rhyming's history dates back to their creation by Black men. Period.
You may say "Eminem can call himself whatever he wants." Yeah, that's all well and good, until you look at it from a historical perspective and think one hundred years ahead. Everything we do and everything we allow to be done as it relates to Hiphop Culture, will become a part of a history that can't be undone once we are all gone. It is my sincere desire that this particular writing and all writings, songs, digital copies, and videos relative to Hiphop's rich Culture, be archived for historical purposes. It is also my wish that none of what is said and done by any white rapper today, be reported in the future as follows: "One hundred years ago, there were Gods in Hiphop who were white."
Like all other history books that erased our contributions, inventions and history, these frauds in Hiphop are vying for positions that have already been filled. Run-DMC is the King of Rock, Rakim is God, LL Cool J is the GOAT, KRS is the teacher, Queen Latifah is the Queen, Bambaataa is the Father, Kool Herc is the Godfather, and so forth. There's no taking their titles or their places in history. On a whole, the Black man (which includes the Black woman) is the true God of Rap, since Rap is a cadence and flow created from Hiphop Culture, which the black man also created.
God is a creator. God created Hiphop. God created Rap. God, as in the Black man. The white man didn't create anything. In Hiphop or otherwise. Therefore, no white rapper today, tomorrow or anywhere in the next one hundred trillion years and beyond will be able to say he is god of Rap. In fact, the Black man is your father in Hiphop and in real life. Accept it and stop the bullshyt. Any Black man or woman believing a white boy is the God of Rap needs Rap Rehab. Ask my man Paul Porter 'bout that.
