“I DID IT” MOM BEAT 4 YEAR OLD TO DEATH FOR WETTING HIS PANTS
27 year old Vastie Coleman, was being held without bond Tuesday in the Harris County Jail for allegedly killing Kyron Barnes. The boy’s two surviving sisters described routine whippings by their mother in court documents.
One of them told investigators Coleman used a cord to whip Kyron, because “the belt was broken because mom kept whipping the kids so hard it broke into pieces.”
Neighbors in the Villas of Pine Lake Apartments off were stunned to hear the news. “I have kids of my own and I just can’t imagine somebody doing that,” one woman said. “She deserves to pay for what she did,” said another tenant.
Coleman, according to CPS documents, confessed to EMS workers on the scene, saying, “I did it, I beat him, it’s all my fault and I don’t care what happens to me.”
According to CPS records, Coleman snapped after her boy wet himself in the car. She allegedly put him in a tub and whipped him more than 20 times, before he stopped breathing. After paramedics found Kyron unresponsive, Coleman’s other two children were placed in protective custody.
A judge reviewed their CPS history at an emergency hearing Tuesday and decided to put them with a foster family.
That CPS history that includes investigations in March 2007, 2009, 2010, August 2011 and April 2012. Those investigations included reports of physical abuse, sexual abuse, medical neglect and neglectful supervision. Most were ruled out by CPS, while others were closed as “unable to determine.” One allegation of physical abuse was found “reason to believe,” according to CPS records.
That history has the attorney ad litem, who represents the two older children, questioning whether the kids should have been removed from the home a long time ago. UH DUH!!!
Meanwhile, the attorney for Coleman said his client was suicidal Tuesday. He wants her to undergo a mental health evaluation.
That is crazy, they should have took them kids from her a long time ago...I blame the state!
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! I feel that the system has failed these children. This woman was accused of abuse several times before this little boy was born. I feel that, maybe if the other children had been removed from the home, and if the mother was punished,we would not be reading this article, because this poor little boy would still be alive.
ReplyDeleteOmg! I am sick with disgust that this woman wasn't stopped years ago and locked up in a padded cell long ago! Better yet, how about a justice system that operates on an eye for an eye sort of system. Sure she's suicidal.....figures....that'd be the easy way out.....for cowards and bully's who can't take what they dish out! I think she should be thrown in a jail cell with a bunch of large angry men who get their kicks out of punching and kicking women around and let them give her a dose of her own medicine. Not just once and then put her out of her misery, but over and over repeatedly. Multiple times a day with enough force to cause serious injuries and inflict more pain and fear than she ever knew could be possible so that she has to experience some of the same hell that she put that little boy through! The only saving grace in the whole sad sick situation is that the little boy didn't survive so he could be beat again the next day! He's in God's hands now. Can you imagine what emotional turmoil that little boy must have held in his mind and in his heart? How could anyone not recognize that this little boy had been abused on a regular basis? He must have literally cringed any time an adult even raised their voice around him. There is no punishment severe enough for any animal that would do such a thing. A death sentence isn't nearly harsh enough and though we'd all like to see her suffer the way she made the boy suffer, if we could decide her fate we could never live with ourselves if we had anything to do with actually carrying out such gruesome punishment!
