MARK WAHLBERG AND DENZEL WASHINGTON TEAM UP IN "TWO GUNS" MOVIE
ThreeStripesMedia -- Denzel Washington took a stroll across the set of "Two Guns" on Tuesday, July 24 and the community of Amite, Louisiana stood by and watched the Oscar-Winner on the set of "Two Guns". The $90 million dollar movie is set to hit theaters next year and co-stars none other than Mark Wahlberg [formerly of Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch].
"Two Guns" will be filmed in Amite and New Orleans, and also stars Mark Wahlberg. It's a big budget movie.
At least $90 million. And it's set for release next year.
As far as Oscar winners go, Denzel Washington isn't usually the type of actor to wear prosthetics or gain and lose a lot of weight in order to play a character.
But as the 57-year-old star stepped onto the New Orleans set of the Universal Pictures action film 2 Guns, it was clear that he had decided to finally alter his movie star smile with some gold-capped teeth.
Wearing a bushy goatee and a diamond crucifix, the Training Day star looked ghetto fabulous in his loose, short-sleeved silk button-up and matching fedora with grey pants.
Washington, accompanied by a bodyguard, held onto a book and a black spiral notebook containing the film's script as he made his way to a waiting passenger van.
2 Guns is a graphic novel from comic book legend Steven Grant about Trench (Washington), a DEA agent, and Steadman (Mark Wahlberg), an undercover Naval Intelligence officer, who are both posing as criminals for the mob.
The pair soon discover they are actually being set up by the mob to steal $50 million from the CIA.
According to Variety, X-Men star James Marsden was just announced to play the Naval commander who orders Wahlberg around on the heist thriller, which has a reported budget of $80 million.
Contraband director Baltasar Kormakur will helm 2 Guns, while Paula Patton, Bill Paxton, and Edward James Olmos round out the supporting cast of the crime drama released next year.
The Hurricane star is scheduled to shoot the crime drama through in New Orleans and New Mexico.
